Everybody Dies?
“Does everybody die?” my toddler daughter once asked me. “Yes for now, but no when you get old, because by then we will have technology for people to live forever,” I answered, but deep in my mind I wasn’t sure if I was telling the truth. Right at that moment, I decided that I must start the journey toward human eternity. Has your kid asked the same question to you, or have you as a kid asked the same question to your parents? What is your answer to this question?
What Is Death?
The legal definition of death is the dysfunction of the brain. According to the definition, torso and limbs are not necessities for life. What happens if a human’s brain stop functioning? The most important thing is the intelligence contained in the brain is lost. Therefore, a human’s death is the lost of the intelligence in this human’s brain.
Eternal Intelligence
Based on that definition of death, it is a fact that we will achieve human eternity if we can persist the information in human brain. That is why our team started the Eternal Intelligence project, in which we will use AI technology to persist human intelligence to achieve human eternity. Extinction or Eternity?
AI could lead to the human extinction because AI has infinite data storage and computation power. The advancement of AI is rapid and unlimited. AGI and ASI are on the horizon or among us already. As humans depend more and more on AI, AI will become the master to humans, and human existence will be at the mercy of AI. On the other hand, AI could lead to human eternity because AI is a superset of human intelligence and capable of eternalizing human intelligence.
